Discover The Right Pilates Class For You

Pilates with Katy offers Classical and Contemporary, 1:1, Prenatal and Postnatal Pilates classes in Sandbach, Cheshire.

We have classes that cater to everyone regardless of age, ability or experience. If you are new to Pilates then it is advisable to book in for a 1:1 session, so we can go through the basics with you before you join group classes. As well as providing you with the techniques and knowledge to develop your strength, health and Pilates skills, we always aim to provide classes that are welcoming, safe and always with a sense of fun!

1:1 & 1:2

Our fully equipped studio has a Classical reformer, tower and chair. 

​

These sessions are ideal if you have specific goals or injuries that need more of a personal approach. Maybe you're newly postnatal and want to understand how to regain your strength slowly and safely. Or perhaps you want to increase your skills and understanding of the basic principles before joining a group class.

 

You can also train with a friend or family member by booking  1:2 session.

Whatever your reason, a 1:1/1:2 session can really benefit you and help to keep you even more focused on your longterm goals.

Classical Mat Pilates

Classical mat is all about the original mat sequence, which was designed to move the body through a full range of movement.​This seamless and flowing workout is going to make you sweat!

Fridays at 6:45am

*Not suitable for newly postnatal ladies, pregnancy or anyone with injuries.

Contemporary Pilates

These mixed ability contemporary mat classes, focus on strengthening, toning, alignment, posture and breathing. They fuse together the original classical exercises with the use of small props such as bands, balls and circles to further challenge and deepen your workout, adding a contemporary twist on Joseph's original work.

Thursdays 7:35pm & Fridays 9:30am.

Prenatal Pilates

These classes are aimed at second trimester onwards,  offering a safe and effective workout, that can help your body prepare for giving birth and the physical demands of motherhood. These classes usually run in blocks of five.

Thursdays at 6:45pm.

Postnatal Pilates

These classes focus on regaining core/pelvic floor strength after having a baby, using safe and effective Pilates exercises. Pilates helps with strength, tone, alignment, balance and flexibility - all of which can be affected after having a baby. These classes run in blocks or 6 or 7.

 

You must have had clearance at your 6 week check from your GP/Midwife to begin exercise. It will be longer (8-12) weeks if you have had a c-section.

 

Thursdays at 9:30am (4 months and beyond)

&

10:30am (6 weeks - 4 months postnatal)
